Receiver range plot map in web client?

Hi Lee, Thanks for coming back to me... Yup, seen the 3D view, looks great, really interesting to "be among the aircraft" in the 3d view! Is was thinking something slightly different, for example. this... (Credit to LignumAqua for the map overlay, and Jo for the top nav and image...

Receiver range plot map in web client?

Of course, this is available in a basic "compass rose" UI in a number of places... What I'm thinking would be to plot this on a map UI... other projects that do this locally rely on browser memory for storage of the plots, i.e only "record" the plots while the browser window is open...

Receiver range plot map in web client?

Hi guys, Is it possible to build a "range plot" and heat map features into the PF webclient? When one's personal goal is "pushing the range", this needs to be recording 24/7, to visibly show maximum range in a given direction (point). There are a number of excellent projects around that aim...

    Raspberry Pi (B+, Zero, RPi2, RPi3 & RPi4) - Installation instructions for Raspbian, Dump1090 & Data Feeder

Just installed the PFClient, all working fine. The stats and gmap work fine (nice UI on the live stats!), but what i'm most interested in is the Google Earth - "range-in-direction" map (/ge.html) which doesnt seem to be available anymore? (http://<Pi_IP>:30053/ge.html doesnt show anything)...

Web Portal and Collectd/rrd graphs automated installation

Hi all, I'm wanting to make the 1h and 6h charts from the earlier post on page 4. Again, looks straight forward - my query is regarding the cron settings. I open up my cron with cron -e, it loads up the current cron (schedule?), showing the commented out "intro text", s0 I imagine that is...

Web Portal and Collectd/rrd graphs automated installation

Erm, ok... scratch that - after trying every permutation of the above path (trying to see the highest level of folder it could actually find), just noticed it's in /dump-tools/ ! Nano'd in and all good so far... :)

Web Portal and Collectd/rrd graphs automated installation

Evening gents, Have made a few tweaks to CollectD's index.html (namelyy removing chart sizes on the divs, as mentioned earlier in this thread). The changes for hourly stats, average-last-7-days, and my own "KM -> Mile" question above look simple enough to change, but darned if I can find...

Web Portal and Collectd/rrd graphs automated installation

@Xforce - out of interest, does that new "mile" graph show Statute Miles, or Nautical Miles? My original thought was to use Statute Miles - I've altered Mutability to show "imperial" measures, but that now shows in Nautical Miles. (Apologies if Statute Miles is a "bad word" - I vaguely recall...

Web Portal and Collectd/rrd graphs automated installation

Thanks for the reply, Xforce - will do that! ;) Vaguely related to Jepolch's question re disk IO (Which I'll also do... nice idea!) , my question is regards to drive usage. Xforces' CollectD graphs have resolution of day... week (which is great), but how much data does mutability actually...

    PFC feeder on RPI2, PiAware?

Morning gents, Have read the thread on setting up the PFClient here: http://forum.planefinder.net/threads/raspberry-pi-b-plus-installation-instructions-for-raspbian-dump1090-data-feeder.241/ Looks simple enough (thanks to some nice clear instructions! :) ) I have a RPI 2, running PiAware...

Web Portal and Collectd/rrd graphs automated installation

Hi all - and thanks to Xforce for all his great work with this! Got it all up and running using the v2 details from post #1, charts generated and tracking as expected. A quick - if simple - query; the Max Range chart shows distance in Km, where would I go to edit this to show statute miles...
