You will find it uses a fraction less CPU
Do we need to run PF software with modesdeco2_windows to allow the data to be sent???

Without modesdeco2_windows

I'm really sorry but I don't know what else we can do!

The errors you see in the log don't matter and won't affect the stats drop you are seeing. You refer to another site in the local area with a similar drop so it could be something external in the area, perhaps some interference!

Do the other sites you feed offer the detailed stats we do so you can see the drop there too? This is not about uptime, it is amount of data which the graph you showed from somewhere else does not show.
Dear Lee,

Somehow my problem solved after 16 days suffering. Don't know what happened, how it solved. Real Beneficiary of this event is FA, they are getting my feed(i am the first from my country for FA) as a testing phase !

Hi All,

I'm just a bit confused
when I installed the PF feeder in the Pi
I didn't feed and had the following log errors

2015-12-16 21:02:05.856077 pfclient (3.1.201 armhf) started with the following options:

additional to that, I lost my PF key and couldn't change settings
got it since and just pressed buttons till it started working

Tcp Address 127.0.0.1
Tcp Port 30005
Select Timeout 10
Data Upload Interval 10

I changed the radio from AVR-TCP to BEAST
and all running ok - even thou I'm using a DVT dongle

Please explain this to me, or should I use different settings ?

I think you've worked it out but the port you've connected to on Dump1090 must be outputting beast format.

Also the sharecode would have been on the web page after setting up and mailed to you as well.

hey lee,

question for ya, seems the rpi2 deb relies on the system to be using systemd in order to run as service/autostart, however im using upstart as i find it easier to write confs for my apps, is there something i can do to autorun pfclient within upstart?

It actually is using simple init scripts that Debian seems to convert to systemd config if that is installed.

Take a look at the init scripts I think it leaves behind or the systemd config for the option we need to start it up.

ive gone ahead and completly removed stsyemd and will rely on upstart. however after reinstall of pfclient.deb i see in the logs its not creating a systemd config like it did before, but still not autostarting. if i go with the tgz route for pf client, what are (if any) the run arguments

Hey everyone. Long time no see. I'm building an ads-b box on an Ubuntu (Linux Mint) laptop. What's the latest Linux client, and is there one for amd64? Thanks.

you can see all the clients available @ https://planefinder.net/sharing/client

i only see a x86(i386) deb for linux, you can wget the installer with:

wget http://client.planefinder.net/pfclient_3.0.2080_i386.deb

then

sudo dpkg -i pfclient_3.0.2080_i386.deb

and your done.

browse to 127.0.0.1(or LAN IP):30053 and complete setup
