Plane Finder Client New Version! 3.3.222

Lee,

Since updating to the latest version, I am seeing blocks of...

gethostbyname failed with errno: 11001

...this might be coincidence but, then again it might not. Googling the error 11001 mentions "Stack overflow" which doesn't sound healthy.

Running Win 10 with plenty of free resources and Client 3.3 (222).

Regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,

We have actually increased logging but is it connecting fine after getting those errors?

Perhaps you could share your config here? Please make sure you remove the share code though.

Lee

Hi Lee,

Thanks for replying.

In order to post my log to here I opened it in an editor rather than just looking at it through the web i/f. It appears there's another error that I wasn't seeing in the browser...

Strange, looks like DNS failed temporarily to resolve the IP address of our hosts, I wouldn't worry too much but if it happens again I would look at what your system DNS is set to and maybe change them to something like the Google DNS servers on 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

I've been running the update for a few days now. All seems OK and no errors reported in the log.

I have been these errors for several hours.

Hi Marty,

Is it still doing it now?

Lee
Yes, Lee.

Hi Lee,
Update complete to version 3.3.222 armhf on my pi2, no problems encountered so far.
Quick difference noted , now blue and yellow aircraft colours on map view :30053
Mike.

Just a quickie, rebooted and now feeder running 3.3.222 but no data being processed, map view blank, tried setting pi to avr tcp to loopback 127.0.0.1 and 30005, still no joy so far.

Edit , got it working again on localhost :30053 but web view very slow to load on occasions or wont load at all.

I now have blue coloured mlat aircraft and yellow others, this did not happen with previous pfclient version .What has changed to make this happen..I like that bit !

I'm not seeing any information. using the network configuration and have it set to Kinetic..more than likely an error on my part. localip:30053

Hi chris VE3ZO, I eventually got things working again by using network config localhost beast port :30005.
I was using loopback 127.0.0.1:30005 which is the prefered way but when i did, my 30053 screen view had no aircraft, just a map.
Hope this helps,
Mike M0RRQ.

New version running like a dream.
My new sharecode, going up, just met my old sharecode on the way down.

Hello.jpg

I am still unable to get this to work. Using a Kinetic 1090 puck and a beagleboard pc..provided by planefinder.

I tried the actual IP of the unit ..which is functioning perfectly on the web interface. and I also tried the ip and port listed above
Do i need to remove the old share name when the new one is put on the list, since they are the same unit?

It is also allowed through the firewall..
