PlaneFinder Radar connected with RF Splitter

Hello,

If I would like to use only 1 ADS-B Antenna and connected to the RF Splitter and then share ADS-B signal to PlaneFinder Radar, Raspberry Pi PiAware and RadarBox24 Comstation Xrange. Will this works? And how about the amount of data received, getting lesser?

If the configuration like this:-

ADS-B Antenna --> 1090MHz Filter --> LNA (20dB) *To compensate the loss* --> RF Spliiter --> PlaneFinder Radar + Raspberry Pi PiAware + RadarBox24 Comstation Xrange. Will the signal data improved? Will the LNA overload the PlaneFinder Radar (Internal Gain Control) as well as the RadarBox24 Xrange?

I look forward to hearing from you soon. Regards.

Hello,

The equipment that we supply for free should normally be stand alone and dedicated to Plane Finder.

Having said that I realise that using our antenna plus others might not be ideal for optimal positioning of the antennas.
Your design is a good one. The LNA will not overload our receiver.

Best regards,

Mark

Hi Mark Daniels.

Thank you for the reply. I have such idea because of I have difficulties to install extra antenna on top of the roof (Level 4 Roof level). If I have to add other antennae at the same time, I will need to "build" something like multi antenna mount mast to the existing antenna mast. I have to climb into the attic and open up the cement roof tile and take off the antenna and so on.

If not allowed to share the antenna then I have no choice to think how to add / design the existing mast into multi antenna.

Hi Sai Hou,

No problem - thank you as always for running the equipment :)
I think that the LNA will work very well too.

Best regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thank you for the permission.

I will see the results when the filter, LNA and splitter installed. If the performance is not as good as expected or getting worst, I will connect the antenna to its original configuration.

Best regards,

I've logged on to my Plane Finder receiver from my PC with a browser. The IP address is correct. The receiver is still feeding Plane Finder Net but when the client runs up everything is blank. No log, no stats etc. It's as if it's completely dead. It was working ok last time I looked at it, a couple of months ago, maybe a bit longer ;)
Any ideas please?
