Strange aircraft 8.6miles NNE of Gatwick Airport UK

[Weds]

I keep seeing a strange aircraft on planefinder about 8.6 miles NNE of Gatwick Airport UK. It comes up as a glider but it's obviously not. The number broadcast is 0A023C. It's always in the same place and recorded at about 600 ft altitude. It hardly moves from its spot. It pops up every few days then disappears.

Can anyone explain what's going on ?

Cheers

Surrey Hills Gliding Club possibly

Surrey Hills Gliding Club possibly

But I've never seen a glider stationary in the air at around 600ft altitude...

Maybe the gliding club is located 600ft AGL on a hill known as the North Downs
